How the VIP Transfer Service Works
Our VIP transfer service handles every step of your journey to Mentawai, starting from your arrival in Padang.
Upon landing at Padang Airport, our team will personally meet you and assist with airport procedures and baggage collection. Our luggage porters will take care of your bags before you are transferred comfortably to your 4-star hotel Santika in Padang. After your journey, unwind with a complimentary 1-hour full body massage, allowing you to fully relax before continuing your trip.
On the following morning, your private driver will meet you at the hotel and escort you to the harbor. Our team will provide your VIP Mentawai Fast Ferry tickets and handle all luggage and surfboard check-in on your behalf. The ferry crossing to the Mentawai Islands takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on weather and sea conditions.
Upon arrival in Tuapejat, you will be welcomed by our local team and transferred by private car to Villa Onu Mentawai. Light refreshments, including a lunch box and soft drinks, are provided during the transfer.
On your departure date, this journey is followed in reverse. The package includes all return ferry tickets, transfers, airport services, and Padang accommodation, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

How the Standard Transfer Service Works
Upon your arrival in Padang, you will make your own way to your hotel (hotel accommodation in Padang is not included). On the day of departure to Mentawai, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the harbor.
At the harbor, our team will provide your Mentawai Fast Ferry tickets and assist with basic coordination for boarding. The ferry journey to the Mentawai Islands takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on weather and sea conditions.
Upon arrival in Tuapejat, you will be met by our local team and transferred by car directly to Villa Onu Mentawai.
On your departure date, the same route is followed in reverse, with all return ferry tickets and transfers included in the package.

If you prefer to travel directly to Villa Onu as soon you land in Padang, you can arrange our private speed boat transfer at least 5 days in advance.
Our team will meet you at the airport, and transfer you to our speed boat which will be waiting for you in the harbor. From there you will head straight to the villa which will take about 3.5 hours.
This is a great option if you are traveling in a group and want to maximize your time at the villa, surfing, relaxing or fishing.
Perfect for people traveling in groups who want to get straight to Villa Onu and skip the over night stay in Padang completely.

As of 17th February 2024, Mentawai’s Government officially raised the Surf Tax from Rp 1.000.000/surfer per 15 days to, Rp 2.000.000/surfer.
The Mentawai Surf Tax is a fee that surfers have to pay when visiting the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia, and applies to surfers both on land and boat.
The tax is applicable to all foreign surfers who visit the Mentawai Islands for surfing purposes.

- 2 million IDR (Around 150 USD) and is valid for 15 days

As of 17th February 2024, Mentawai’s Government officially raised the Surf Tax from Rp 1.000.000/surfer per 15 days to, Rp 2.000.000/surfer.
The Mentawai Surf Tax is a fee that surfers have to pay when visiting the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia, and applies to surfers both on land and boat. The tax was introduced in 2016 by the local government to help fund infrastructure development and environmental conservation efforts in the area and must be paid before your first surf.
The tax is applicable to all foreign surfers who visit the Mentawai Islands for surfing purposes.
The fee is 2 million IDR (150 USD) and is valid for 15 days and can be extended by paying again for longer trips.
It is important to note that the Mentawai Surf Tax is mandatory and must be paid before entering and surfing in the Mentawai Islands. Failure to pay the tax may result in fines or in extreme cases, even deportation.
You only need to pay for this if you would like to surf in Mentawai. If you are just here to swim and enjoy the islands, you do not need to pay the Mentawai Surf Tax.
