If you want to visit paradise then Villa Onu is it. We had a week long stay with young children and had an unforgettable stay. We surfed as beginners, snorkeled, fished, swam, took long walks on the beach collecting seashells, and relaxed at the amazing villa where absolutely everything is taken care of. The staff catered to our needs by arranging specialized kids surf trips and personalized surf lessons, making fun mocktails for the kids, making homemade sushi from our fresh caught fish and providing us personalized water bottles. The staff at the villa is amazing! Every meal and snack was fresh and healthy and delicious. Vincent and Wella were wonderful hosts and made sure we were fully taken care of. We could have not asked for more. We did not want to leave! Thank for a memorable trip!

FAQs
Is there flexibility in the dates?
You can arrive earlier, and/or depart later. But there is no flexibility between the dates due to travel restrictions.
Can I work at Villa Onu? How is the internet?
We have Starlink available at the property, so unless the weather is very bad (Unlikely during this time) internet is very fast and reliable.
What if there is an emergency and we need to leave?
In the case of medical emergencies, the airport will still be operating and medivac flights are still available. We ask all of our guests to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers them in these cases.
We also have our speedboat that can take you back to the mainland based on the circumstance.
Why is the Mentawai Fast Ferry not operating?
The Mentawai Fast Ferry will not operate between March 29 and April 6 2025, due to Idul Fitri. This means travelers must arrive before March 29 or wait until April 7 to travel to the islands. More on that here.
